NEW FOR 2009  23/02/2009
Arrangements have just been made to hold lessons at Niagara Sports Practice Centre in Niagara On The Lake (St. Catherines). This is in response to the closing of Lakeview Driving Range, our former home for the past 4 seasons. Directions to the new facility can be obtained by a simple phone call, or check out their website at www.niagarasportspc.com
Of course, we will still be the Teaching Pro at Sawmill Golf Club, holding Clinics, Group and Private lessons on their excellent Short-Game Practice Area.
Please continue to check for further details, as golf season approaches.
Please take note that Niagara Sports Practice Centre offers a $2.00 discount on Medium, Large, and Extra Large buckets of balls, to Sawmill Members or Player's Club Members. Just show your card when getting your practice balls.

RELATIONSHIP  22/02/2009
Golf is a game of relationship.
The relationship between players:
The relationship between man and the elements:The relationship between man and the golf course:But the most important, is the relationship between man and golf ball. The better the relationship, the better is one's ability to strike the ball effectively.
The only relationship we have with the ball physically is through the grip of the club. If we treat that relationship harshly, (too tight a grip) we minimize our chances of effective ball contact. If we treat that relationship gently, (nice light grip tension) we maximize opportunity for a good shot.
Holding the grip tightly creates tension which translates to stiff, not flexible muscles and poor shotmaking.
